On vigorous oral sex

October 9, 2008

In response to Playunleased’s survey on the enthusiastic fellatrix – no, I do not experience ill side effects after performing oral sex.

I imagine it’s a question of technique?  I don’t deepthroat, and I wrap my hand around the shaft by my lips, so a lot of the time the head doesn’t hit the back of my throat.  I do swallow when BF cums.

I go down on BF relatively infrequently, like once every couple weeks, but I’ve never had problems with oral sex on him or the ex in the last four years.

To be on the safe side, it might not be a bad idea to ask a doctor about cold-like symptoms after oral sex. Both men and women can acquire an oral infection of HPV, syphilis, gonorrhea, and chlamydia through oral sex.  These STIs are transmitted through skin-to-skin contact, so an infection on the scrotum or penis can pass to the vulva, anus, or mouth.

Symptoms can include a sore throat in all of these cases if the mouth or throat get infected.  So get tested annually, know your partners’ status, and play safely!

  1. I’m glad Hovary’s here to cover all the safe bases when it comes to our sexcapades. These things are certainly very important when it comes to an active sex life.
